MS Walk 2007
This year was our second year participating in the walk and our team grew immensely - over 60 people, raising just over $6,000! We were told we were among the largest family/friends teams in BC interior! That’s a feat in itself. This year we also had a couple of sponsors – Northern Trailer and IdeaLEVER Solutions and had t-shirts printed up for all our teammates. We really made our presence known!

MS Hole-In-One Golf Challenge 2007
In an effort to come up with creative ways to raise money for the MS Society, we decided to try out a Hole-In-One Golf Challenge. I love golf and thought what better to help out than to involve a sport I am passionate about. It was held at the Mount Paul Golf Course in May 2007. If one of the participants was to get a hole-in-one they would win $10,000 s well the local MS Society would win $5,000.
There were a couple people who came close, but unfortunately nobody could quite do it. The weather (particularly the winds) wasn’t the most ideal and having the event on a long weekend didn’t quite get us the turnout that we were expecting, but even with all that, we had great support from the business community and together with sponsorship money, donated driving range revenue and hole-in-one tickets we raised approximately $1700 for the Society. Next year we hope the weather will better cooperate and we have some new and better ideas to make it a bigger success as this is something we would like to make an annual event.
I’d like to thank all the sponsors of the event and of course all those that gave the hole-in-one challenge a try!!!!

MS Walk 2006
This was our first year participating in the walk. I was clinically diagnosed in February, so dedicating myself to this event help me considerably in turning my diagnosis into a drive to help myself deal with my predicament. In the short time to prepare for the event, we started out making quite a presence with a team count of about 30 people and raising over $4000!
